Amazon is the Goliath of e-commerce and that did not happen by accident. They do an excellent job of not only tailoring the visitor experience in such a way that funnels visitors toward a purchase or conversion but they have also developed an offline experience that keeps you coming back. Amazon was founded in 1994 and they currently have over 209 million users. In the 3rd QTR of 2014 alone, their net sales were $20.58 billion.
One of the tactics they employ is sending out periodic emails to their customers with recommended products based on each individual person’s browsing/shopping patterns. I have been shopping for a new pair of Saucony running shoes. Three days later, I received an email from Amazon with the shoe I looked at, as well as some other Saucony shoes with the offer to save up to 50%! Did it get me to come back to the site and shop a bit more? You better believe it!!
We have developed the same type of functionality within Rekko and created a step-by-step, point-and-click wizard to target specific user behaviors/segments, schedule email frequency and design the email so it matches the exact look and feel of your website.
Watch Jessica’s Automailer overview and see how you can send daily, weekly or monthly emails just like Amazon does, with recommendation grids based upon the visitor’s individual interests and website activities.
