Creating your first Email Campaign is as easy as sending an email from your own email client. Simply click the Create a Blast Mailing and start composing! Watch the video below to see how it’s done, or read on below to get step-by-steps.
So let’s get started!
On the Email Home page of your account, you’ll see a big blue button to create your blast mailing (shown above). Click on this and it’ll open up a new window (shown below).
Does it look familiar? It does? Good! We made it to resemble email composers you’re familiar with because creating emails should be easy.
As you can see in the screenshot above, you can choose from a blank template where you just write in text or add HTML, or choose a template from your library (if you’re new, this may be empty).
Everything else should be straightforward! From the top down:
Campaign Name: You can’t send out your mailing blast without first giving it a name! So this is pretty important.
Options to Save, Send Now & Schedule: Blast mailings give you the option to schedule your email to send at a later date, or send it now.
Deliver-to: Blast mailings allow you to deliver your emails to one or multiple mailing lists. If there are duplicate emails (for example [email protected] is on two of your lists), only one email will be sent to that recipient.
Configurations: This section is standard to any email you send – fill out your subject line, from name and from email address. In the subject line, you can use merge tags for name to make it even more spersonalized.
Option for Recycler Campaign: Don’t know what Recycler is? Check out this page! Basically, recycler will send another blast mailing automatically to your lists but ONLY to those who didn’t open their emails the first time around. Check out our video to learn more.
Option for Spammy: Spammy button opens a new window and gives your email a score. This helps you figure out the current quality of your email and show you where you might be able to improve. Learn more about Spammy here.
Option for Send Test Email: Just like it says, it sends you a test email to the address listed under your login. It gives you an idea of how it’ll appear in inboxes.
Creative: For your creative, you can choose Blank Email or Load Saved Email. The Blank Email option opens the WYSIWYG Editor. You can create a text email, add images, or write/paste in your own HTML. Load Saved Email will open the Email Library with whatever templates you may have used in the past or sent in using the secret inbound email address. You can certainly edit the email after loading a template too.
